Andigestion is preparing to collect a record amounts of food waste during the summer rush to Devon and Cornwall. Devon and Cornwall traditionally attracts millions of tourists during the summer months, driven by pristine beaches, the hope of sunshine and of course the wonderful food.
Inevitably with more food production come more food waste and Andigestion will collect food waste from hotels, pubs and restaurants across Devon and Cornwall this summer.
What’s great about food waste collections by Andigestion are that food waste bins are swapped each week with a fresh clean bin, meaning no flies, no maggots, no smells to put off customers.
All food waste collected is processed through Anaerobic Digestion in Holsworthy, Devon. The process creates a “green” electricity which is used in Devon to power homes.
What a great positive message to give to customers that all waste food is helping power this wonderful area.
